After celebrating one of his best afternoons on a racetrack, head trainer James Cummings will rely on a quintet of runners to continue his momentum at The Championships.

Cummings saddled up a double when demolished his rivals in the Sires' Produce Stakes last Saturday before Cascadian arrived in the final bounds to capture the Mile.

He also came away with one of the support races courtesy of Paulele's victory.

Colette will be Godolphin's only Group 1 runner on day two of The Championships at Randwick but she looks well placed to deliver under the set weights and penalty conditions of the (1600m).

A last-start fifth to in the (2000m) at Rosehill, Colette was under consideration for a start in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) before Godolphin opted to drop her back in journey.

“We reassessed her program after the Ranvet and decided on a freshen up and a launch at this prestigious Group One mile,” Cummings said.

“Some rain before the weekend will enhance her prospects, as will the race conditions, and we are expecting her to relish the hallowed Randwick turf.”

While Arcaded has been scratched from the $1 million (1200m), Godolphin will still be ably represented by Testimonial and Trifaccia.

Both have shown promise, particularly Trifaccia who is coming off a Reisling Stakes placing.

“She's learning more and more about racing every day and we're looking forward to seeing her put it all together on Saturday,” Cummings said.
