‘s appeal against the severity of a careless riding has been unsuccessful, with the jockey to miss the meeting.

Zahra was banned for careless riding aboard Lightning Stakes winner at last Saturday.

He lodged an appeal against the severity of the eight-meeting penalty, hoping to get one day shaved off to allow him to compete in the Australian Guineas at Flemington on Saturday week.
