ALEXANDRIA, MN (May 12) - The 2011 WISSOTA Midwest Modified national champion, Travis Saurer, picked up right where he left off and captured both the WISSOTA Midwest Modified and WISSOTA Modified feature Saturday night at Viking Speedway. Other winners on the evening included Andrew Bangsund (WISSOTA Street Stocks), Corey Tammen (WISSOTA Super Stocks) and Zach Johnson (WISSOTA Late Models) as the 2012 WISSOTA AMSOIL Dirt Track Series season came to life at Viking Speedway.

Jeff Wildung picked right up where he left off scoring his second NLRA Late Model feature win in as many nights Sunday night at Viking Speedway. Not to be outdone, Cody Skytland corralled his second win in as many tries in the WISSOTA Modified finale while Jeff Crouse rallied to take home top honors in the WISSOTA Super Stock A-main. Chris Mensen (WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds) and Tim Jodsaas (WISSOTA Street Stocks) each turned in impressive performances as well during Season Championship night at the steeply banked ½ mile oval located on the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Alexandria, MN.

Nassau, MN legend Jeff Wildung once again proved why he is one of the best in the business scoring the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) Late Model feature win Saturday night at Viking Speedway. Cody Skytland remained on his tear taking top honors in the WISSOTA Modified finale while Jon Stepan tallied his first WISSOTA Super Stock feature win of the season. Travis Saurer (WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds) and Chris Winter (WISSOTA Street Stocks) each visited victory lane as well during night one of Viking Speedway’s Labor day doubleheader.
