Thunderous Roar on John Bell Memorial Night at Central Wisconsin Raceway

The thunderous roar of high powered race cars once again greeted the crowds at CWR raceway, for the Annual John Bell Memorial Night, the grandstand crowd was also able to view one of John’s original race cars from back in the day. At intermission time of fans where cheering on the youngsters in the annual Kids Bike races. As always two lucky junior fans went home with brand new bikes in the bike giveaway , this week sponsored by NorthPro Electric of Westboro.
Ray Karl JR led the CWR Pure Stocks to their Feature race green flag followed closely by
Duane (Duke)Leu on the outside. Into the first corner it was Duke in the lead. Leu continued to stretch his lead throughout the race. At the checkers it was Leu, followed by Karl and Dustin Heier.
The Wissota Street Stocks took the green for their feature with Nick Wojcik on pole with Doug Wojcik running alongside in the 2nd position. AS the two Wojcik battled for the lead Jared Lindner worked his way past Cody Kummer for third. Ralph Stark ran a close 5th until steering problems forced him to the pits after nearly colliding with the front straight wall. At the checkers it was Doug Wojcik followed closely by Nick Wojcik.
After 2 heats of CWR Hornets earlier in the night, it was Michael Ecker on pole leading them to the green flag with Allen Hall on the outside pole. With Paul Socwell and Mark Ryskoski battling each other from back in the pack it was still Ecker and Josh Brugge up front . Ryskoski fought his way past the leaders to take over 1st , as Socwell battled Ecker for 3rd. A late race mistake by Brugge moved Ecker back up to 2nd. At the checkers it was Ryskoski followed by Ecker.
The Wissota Mid-West Modifieds were up next with Josh Olson leading the pack and Nick Lindner on the outside. On the green Lindner jumped into the early lead followed by Andy Karl and Nate Thums. With Lindner opening up a sizable lead Karl , Thums and Jimmy Barttelt battled for second.
