OREGON, WI (Tuesday, June 30, 2009) - Last month, Chris Wimmer picked up a huge win at Iowa Speedway when he captured his first American Speed Association Midwest Tour win. 45 days later, he passed the 2009 Daytona 500 champion to win The Swiss Colony All-Star Challenge at Madison International Speedway.

"This is just amazing, just to get the chance to race with Matt Kenseth and Tony Stewart and to pass Kenseth for the win is just a neat deal," a smiling Wimmer stated in victory lane after passing Kenseth with 11 laps to go in the 100-lap feature event. "My car was good and I thought I was a little bit better than Matt and I was just waiting, biding my time to get by him and finally got that opportunity and it happened."

It will be the second night of two in the ‘Great Lake State’ for the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series as they travel to Butler Battlegrounds in Quincy, MI for a full ASLMS event including the SpeedWrapz Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Main’s and the 50 lap, $5,000 to win feature event on Saturday, May 30th.

“ASLMS drivers have been talking about this weekend since we released the schedule,” Series Director Jason Shank mentioned. “For most of our guys these two tracks, like Butler Battlegrounds are places they have never seen. They are excited to get somewhere they have never been before and facing the quality of drivers from the Michigan area.”

Race Format for the co-sanctioned weekend in Michigan will remain the same for both ASLMS and UMP Late Models (group qualifying). General rules regarding weight will also remain the same at 2300lbs with driver with one pound burn-off per lap for the A-Main feature event.

Camargo, IL (5-13-09) - O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series- With the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series season getting underway for 2009, The Free Fantasy Dirt Racing All Star Late Model Fantasy League is also preparing to go full throttle. This week the league announced that they have added a registration prize for one lucky competitor.

Sign up prior to 5/17/09 for a chance to win 2 passes to an All Star Late Model event of your choice (subject to availability). All entries will be entered into a drawing that will take place on May 10th. The Fantasy league features your favorite All Star Late Model Drivers competing on some of the most thrilling tracks on the 2009 schedule.

How it works is fans will pick two All Star Drivers at the time of registration. These drivers will be the core of their team. During each race the team owners will then get to pick a third “wild card” driver from a pool of local drivers prior to each event to complete your team. The teams will be scored based on your three drivers Feature finish, with bonus points being added if one of your drivers sets fast time.
