Rice Lake WI, June 26 – Heavy morning rains turned the Rice Lake Speedway into a sea of mud Saturday and resulted in the cancellation of the racing program.

Next up on the racing schedule is one of the most looked forward to events of the racing year at Rice Lake. On Thursday, July 2, the annual Firecracker Special will be held at the speedway. All five classes that normally race at Rice Lake will be on the card, and the special event will be a gigantic fireworks display. The display, with both aerial and ground fireworks, is widely known as one of the best displays anywhere.

Race time will be at 7 p.m. For more information, call the speedway at 715-236-2002 or visit the speedway website at www.rlspeedway.com. There will be no racing at Rice Lake on Saturday, July 4th .
