The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series will be competing at one of their favorite venues this Saturday night, as Plymouth's Sheboyagan County Fair Park hosts the 900 horsepower thunder of the regional powerhouse 410/winged series. As a added bonus, it's not too often 410 Sprints & Late Models compete together, but this Saturday they do making this a true special event. On top of that the PDTR Grand National division joins the dynamic duo making for an outstanding 3-division event and certainly providing something for every type of fan.
The IRA point chase has heated up dramatically in recent weeks as defending champ Billy Balog leads perennial series contenders Mike Reinke and Scotty Neitzel who are certainly within reach of that top spot. 2002 IRA king John Haeni is coming off a solid 3rd place run in IRA's most recently completed event (Cedar Lake 6/21) and sits a comfortable fourth. Steve Meyer holds just a marker advantage over third generation racer Scott Biertzer for fifth. Meyer who resides in nearby Sheboygan Falls has had zero luck on his side most of the season and hopes to turn things around competing in front of his local crowd. There is always plenty of action, and usually wheelies galore, everytime IRA appears on the tight quarters at Plymouth. A large field is expected to compete in the IRA portion, other expected entries include Cainen Riemann, Todd Hepfner, Phillip Mock, Billy Hafemann, Scott Uttech, Kris Spitz, Brian Kristan, Nick Alden, Andy Hunt, Donny Goeden, Wayne Modjeski, Robbie Pribnow, TJ Leudtke, Russel Borland, Adam Miller, Kirk Fehrman, Todd Daun, Jereme Schroeder, Ty Bartz, Bill Wirth, Dave Uttech, Mike Kertscher, Tommy Sexton, Mike Emme, Brandon Thome, Bill Warren, Joe Symoens, Todd King, Scott Lenz, and many more. Pit gates open at 3, grandstands 5, with IRA qualifying scheduled for 6:30. IRA is a ASA affiliated series with support from United Trailers, Hoosier Tire, Osborn & Son Trucking, Bar's Leaks, Rislone, TW Metals, Mechanix Wear, Can-Am/BRP, and the U.S. Army.
