TRUTTMAN SCORES TISLER SALVAGE 300 LAP ENDURO AT 141 SPEEDWAY

(Whitelaw, WI) July 4 - Green Bay's Duke Truttman passed Dave Beyer for the lead with 29 laps remaining to win the 300 lap Tisler Salvage Compact car enduro at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek Saturday.

The win was Truttman's third of his career here.

Chris Fifarek led the way for most of the first 150 laps. However his lead was cut short when he was involved in a collision with another car on the back stretch on lap 159. Beyer inherited the lead at that point and had a full lap lead on the field for the next 50 laps.

Truttman, who had maintained a top ten position throughout much of the contest, worked his way into third by lap 200. Truttman waged a torrid battle with Andy Kleckza up until lap 250, when he weaved his way through a pack of lapped cars to wrestle the runnerup spot away from Kleczka.

Truttman began chopping away at Beyer's lead and snuck by him on lap 271.

Truttman sliced his way carefully through lapped traffic to hang on to the win. Kleckza hung on for second, followed by Eddie Muenster, Greg Banker and Beyer who rounded out the top five positions.
